All LEGO Switch games in order
By Lenn Hodes · founder — every cartridge tested by hand
The Switch is the LEGO console of its generation: a port of the Wii U exclusive at launch, every TT Games adventure since, two Marvel games, all nine Star Wars films in one box and, in 2024, a PlayStation series retold in bricks. Below are all 13 LEGO games that came out on a Switch cartridge in Europe, in release order, plus the ones that never got a card.
The short answer
City Undercover and Worlds (2017) → The Ninjago Movie and Marvel Super Heroes 2 (2017) → The Incredibles, DC Super-Villains and the Harry Potter Collection (2018) → The LEGO Movie 2 and Jurassic World (2019) → Marvel Super Heroes (2021) → Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga and Brawls (2022) → Horizon Adventures (2024). That is 13 cartridges; LEGO 2K Drive came as a code in a box, and Builder’s Journey, Bricktales and Voyagers are downloads. Start with City Undercover for a child, Skywalker Saga for a Star Wars fan.

Game by game — the buying notes

LEGO City Undercover
€26.95Personally tested Good condition
The Wii U exclusive brought to the Switch on 7 April 2017, a month after the console launched, and the one LEGO game that added two-player co-op in the port. A huge open city and a single long story — the best value on this list for a child who plays alone, and the easiest to find.

LEGO Worlds
€26.95Personally tested Good condition
Released 8 September 2017: procedurally generated worlds you dig, build and fly through, closer to Minecraft than to the film games. The Switch version runs at a lower resolution than the others and the build tools take some learning; for a builder it is the only LEGO game that is actually about bricks.
The LEGO Ninjago Movie Video Game (2017)
Out in Europe on 20 October 2017 alongside the film. Faster and more combat-heavy than the other TT Games adventures, with a combo system borrowed from fighting games. Common and cheap second-hand, and the full game is on the cartridge.

LEGO Marvel Super Heroes 2
€25.95Personally tested Good condition
November 2017, the first big TT Games adventure built for the Switch from the start. Chronopolis stitches eighteen Marvel locations into one open hub, with a time-travel story and a four-player battle mode. The Switch version runs noticeably slower than the PlayStation one; the content is identical.
LEGO The Incredibles (2018)
Europe got it on 13 July 2018, a month after America. Both Pixar films in one game, with a city of crime waves to clear between story levels. One of the gentler entries — a good first LEGO game for a five- or six-year-old.

LEGO DC Super-Villains
€25.95Personally tested Good condition
Released 19 October 2018. You build your own villain and play alongside the Joker, Harley Quinn and the Legion of Doom — the first LEGO game where you are the bad guys. The character creator alone keeps children busy for hours; the cartridge holds the whole game.
LEGO Harry Potter Collection (2018)
Years 1–4 and Years 5–7 remastered on one cartridge, out on the Switch in October 2018 with the DLC character and spell packs included. Around a dozen hours per game, all eight films, local two-player co-op throughout. The one to buy for a Potter fan — and one of the few LEGO games on the Switch with everything on the card.

The LEGO Movie 2 Videogame
€32.95Personally tested Good condition
Europe on 1 March 2019, three days after America. Smaller and more open than the first film’s game, with more building and less combat — the design later refined in Skywalker Saga. Aimed young; the humour of the film is mostly left out.
LEGO Jurassic World (2019)
The 2015 game arrived on the Switch on 20 September 2019 with all four films from Jurassic Park to Jurassic World. You play the dinosaurs as well as the people, and Isla Nublar is an open hub between levels. Common second-hand because it sold well on every platform.
LEGO Marvel Super Heroes (2021)
The 2013 original finally came to the Switch on 8 October 2021 — after its own sequel. Many players still rate it the best LEGO Marvel game: a tighter story, the first open LEGO New York, and Stan Lee in peril on every level. Both the Marvel games sit well together on one shelf.
LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga (2022)
Released 5 April 2022 and the biggest LEGO game ever made: all nine Skywalker films, an over-the-shoulder camera and almost four hundred characters. The Switch version downgrades the visuals but keeps everything else; the Galactic Edition and the character packs were downloads, so a used cartridge carries the base game.
LEGO Brawls (2022)
The Apple Arcade brawler on consoles from 2 September 2022, distributed on a physical cartridge by Bandai Namco. A party fighter rather than an adventure: minifigure builds, eight-player online and four-player local matches. Short on single-player content — buy it for a room full of players.
LEGO Horizon Adventures (2024)
Released 14 November 2024, Sony’s Horizon series retold in LEGO for Switch, PlayStation 5 and PC — the first time a Horizon game appeared on a Nintendo console. Two-player co-op, a village to build up between missions, and a gentler story than the games it is based on. New enough that second-hand copies are still scarce.
Switch, Switch Lite, OLED or Switch 2 — what plays where
Every cartridge on this page plays on every Switch model sold since 2017 — original, Lite, OLED and Switch 2. The LEGO adventures were among the games that pushed the first Switch hardest, so Marvel Super Heroes 2 and The Skywalker Saga run smoother on a Switch 2 than they ever did on the console they were made for. Nothing on this list needs motion controls, and all of it works in handheld mode on a Lite.
The practical consequence for a buyer: a second-hand LEGO cartridge is a safe buy. The save lives on the console rather than on the card, so a used game starts clean. What we check is the card itself — that it reads, boots and plays on a real Switch — and whether the box and inlay are there when the listing says so. The exception is anything sold as a code in a box, and that is the next section.
The LEGO Switch games that are not a cartridge
Four LEGO games on the Switch never came on a card, and one of them looks as if it did. LEGO 2K Drive was sold in a retail box that holds a download code — once redeemed, the box is empty for the next owner, so it is not a game to buy used. Builder’s Journey, Bricktales and Voyagers are eShop downloads. LEGO Party! followed on 30 September 2025, and LEGO Fortnite is a mode inside Fortnite rather than a game of its own.
LEGO 2K Drive (2023)
Released 19 May 2023 by 2K. The Switch “physical” edition is a box with a download code, not a game card — once that code has been redeemed the box is worth nothing to a second buyer. We do not sell these second-hand for exactly that reason; buy it new or digitally.
LEGO Builder’s Journey (2021)
The quiet brick-by-brick puzzle game, on the Switch eShop from 22 June 2021. About two hours long and lovely to look at; nothing to buy on a cartridge.
LEGO Bricktales (2022)
Out on the eShop on 12 October 2022: build bridges, vehicles and machines from real brick sets to solve each diorama. The most LEGO-like game on the system for an actual builder, and a download first.
LEGO Voyagers (2025)
Released 15 September 2025 as a download for Switch and Switch 2 (and the other consoles): a two-brick co-op adventure from the Builder’s Journey team, played together on one couch or online.

Browse tested LEGO gamesQuestions we get asked
How many LEGO games are there on the Nintendo Switch?
Thirteen on a cartridge, from LEGO City Undercover (April 2017) to LEGO Horizon Adventures (November 2024): City Undercover, Worlds, The Ninjago Movie Video Game, Marvel Super Heroes 2, The Incredibles, DC Super-Villains, Harry Potter Collection, The LEGO Movie 2 Videogame, Jurassic World, Marvel Super Heroes, Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga, Brawls and Horizon Adventures. LEGO 2K Drive was sold in a box with a download code rather than a card, and Builder’s Journey, Bricktales and Voyagers are downloads. LEGO Fortnite is a mode inside Fortnite, not a separate game.
Which LEGO Switch game is best for a young child?
LEGO The Incredibles or LEGO City Undercover: forgiving, funny and easy to read on a small screen. For a slightly older child who already likes the films, the Harry Potter Collection or Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga give the most hours. Every TT Games adventure on this list has drop-in two-player co-op, so an adult can join at any moment.
Can two people play LEGO Switch games together?
Yes — local co-op for two players is the signature of every TT Games LEGO adventure, with a split screen that joins and separates as you move apart. LEGO Brawls takes up to four players on one console and eight online; LEGO Worlds has two-player split screen. Only Builder’s Journey and Bricktales are single-player.
Do LEGO Switch games work on the Switch 2?
Yes. Every cartridge on this page is a Nintendo Switch game card, and all of them play on a Switch 2 — the Marvel and Star Wars games also run more smoothly there, because the Switch versions were the ones that struggled with frame rate.
Does a used Switch cartridge come with someone else’s save?
No. A Switch stores save data on the console, not on the game card, so a second-hand LEGO cartridge starts fresh. A code-in-a-box title is a different matter: with LEGO 2K Drive the code is the game, and a redeemed code cannot be used again — which is why that one is not something to buy used.
Are Switch games region-locked?
No. The Switch is region-free, so a European card starts on any console. The LEGO games carry English and the main European languages on the cartridge. Everything we sell is the European version unless the product page says otherwise.
Is the DLC on the cartridge?
Mostly not. The Harry Potter Collection includes its character and spell packs on the card, and the Marvel, DC and Ninjago games are complete on their own. The Skywalker Saga’s character packs and Galactic Edition content were downloads, so a used cartridge carries the base game — still all nine films.
Do you ship LEGO Switch games across the EU?
Yes — tracked shipping from the Netherlands to all 27 EU countries, no customs charges inside the EU, and 30 days to return an order. The exact rate for your country appears at checkout before you pay.
Same bricks, other consoles: all LEGO Wii games and all LEGO 3DS games — or the series guides: LEGO Star Wars in order and LEGO Harry Potter in order. Same console, different series: all Mario Switch games and all Zelda Switch games.
