PlayStation 4 discs on a PS5Backwards compatible
A PS5 with a disc drive plays virtually the entire PS4 library, often with better frame rates. That makes a cheap PS4 disc one of the best-value ways to fill a PS5.
PlayStation 5 discs on a PS4Not compatible
This does not work in the other direction — a PS5 disc will not run on a PS4. The generation is printed on the spine of every case, and we state it in the listing too.
The Digital Edition catchNo disc drive
The PS5 Digital Edition has no drive at all, so a physical disc cannot be used with it. Worth checking before you order — it is the single most common mix-up we see.
Region and languageEuropean discs
PlayStation 4 and 5 discs are not region-locked, so a European copy plays anywhere. What does differ is the languages on the disc; we sell European editions.
Free PS5 upgradesDisc-version only
Several PS4 games offer a free PS5 upgrade, but it has to be claimed with the disc in a disc-drive PS5. A Digital Edition cannot redeem it.

Discs do not lose saves the way cartridges lose batteries — those live on the console. What ages is the surface and the case, and that is exactly what we photograph.

Inside the Netherlands a single game fits through the letterbox — €4.40, tracking included. That service stops at the border. Anything leaving the country goes with PostNL as an international parcel, which is a different and considerably more expensive service. That is where the €14.95 – €19.95 comes from: the border itself is not what costs money, the cheap service simply ends there.
That amount covers the PostNL rate to your country plus the packaging: bubble mailer or box, an antistatic sleeve for the cartridge, and tape. We never drop the tracking — on a parcel that crosses a border, shipping without proof of delivery is a risk for both of us.
