Inside the Netherlands a single game fits through the letterbox — €4.40, tracking included. That service stops at the border. Anything leaving the country goes with PostNL as an international parcel, which is a different and considerably more expensive service. That is where the €14.95 – €19.95 comes from: the border itself is not what costs money, the cheap service simply ends there.
That amount covers the PostNL rate to your country plus the packaging: bubble mailer or box, an antistatic sleeve for the cartridge, and tape. We never drop the tracking — on a parcel that crosses a border, shipping without proof of delivery is a risk for both of us.
Yes — the GBA and GBA SP play original Game Boy and Game Boy Color games. The DS and everything after it do not. So an SP with its backlit screen is a fine way to play this whole library.
Black-shell classic cartridges play on every Game Boy, including the Color and Advance. Color-only cartridges (clear or coloured shells) need a Game Boy Color or a GBA — the original grey Game Boy cannot run them.
Often, but not always — many GB/GBC games keep your save on an internal coin cell that can be empty after 25+ years, and the Pokémon Gold/Silver real-time clock drains it fastest. We test saving on every cartridge, state the battery status honestly, and can often replace the cell.
The quickest check on this generation: a genuine GB/GBC cartridge closes with a tri-wing screw, not a Phillips one. We also check the label print and the board inside — Pokémon is the most counterfeited series of the era, and every copy here passes those checks.
