All One Piece games in order

Japan has had more than fifty One Piece games; Europe got seventeen — and, unusually, some that America never did. Below are all 17 One Piece games released here, in order, from the GameCube fighters to Odyssey, with the Nintendo versions marked and buying notes on the Wii, 3DS and PS5 copies we stock and test.
The short answer
Grand Battle! and Grand Adventure (GameCube, 2005–06) → the Unlimited line on Wii and 3DS (2008–14: Adventure, Cruise 1 and 2, Cruise SP, World Red) → Pirate Warriors 1–4 (2012–20) → Burning Blood and World Seeker → Odyssey (2023). Nothing needs playing in order; start with Odyssey or Pirate Warriors 4.

- One Piece: Pirates’ Carnival · 2006 · PlayStation 2 & GameCube — a party game — North America only, never sold in Europe
- One Piece: Unlimited Adventure · 2008 · Wii — an open island to explore with the whole crew — the first of the Unlimited line
- One Piece: Unlimited Cruise 1 – The Treasure Beneath the Waves · 2009 · Wii — Europe only in the West — America never got the Cruise games
- One Piece: Unlimited Cruise 2 – Awakening of a Hero · 2009 · Wii — the second half of the story; a European PAL disc is the only Western version
- One Piece: Gigant Battle! · 2011 · Nintendo DS — a 2D brawler with a huge cast — Europe got it, America did not
- One Piece: Unlimited Cruise SP · 2012 · Nintendo 3DS; SP2 later in 2012 — the two Wii games remade for the 3DS (Japan 2011) — SP has both, SP2 in Europe only the second

Which One Piece game should you buy now?
- The story, today: Odyssey on PS5, or the Switch cartridge to carry it.
- The action: Pirate Warriors 4 on Switch — region-free.
- On a 3DS: Unlimited World Red — the full game on one cartridge.
- The European Wii exclusives: Unlimited Cruise 1 and 2 — the games America never got.
Buying One Piece games second-hand
Europe got the Wii games America did not
Unlimited Cruise 1 and 2 and Gigant Battle! were released in Europe and never in North America, so the PAL discs and DS card are the only Western versions. Unlimited Adventure is the exception — it came out on both sides. PAL Wii discs need a European Wii (or a Wii U); the DS card is region-free.
The 3DS cartridges are complete games
Unlimited World Red on 3DS is the whole game, not a cut-down version, and Unlimited Cruise SP holds both Wii games remade. Romance Dawn is a full RPG. All three are region-locked: a European cartridge for a European 3DS or 2DS, and they play on every model in the family.
Pirate Warriors: which one
Pirate Warriors 3 tells the manga from the beginning to Dressrosa; 4 continues to Wano with a bigger roster. Both exist on Switch cartridges (3 as the Deluxe Edition with its DLC included; 4 with the season passes sold separately). 1 and 2 stayed on PlayStation.
Odyssey on PS5 or Switch
The same RPG; the PS5 disc is the smoother version, the 2024 Switch cartridge the portable one with lower resolution. Both are region-free within their platform. Odyssey needs no knowledge of the other games — it retells the story as memories.

Do I need to play the One Piece games in order?
No. Every game retells a stretch of the manga or tells a side story, so nothing depends on another game. If you want the manga’s story in order, Pirate Warriors 3 (start to Dressrosa) then Pirate Warriors 4 (to Wano) is the closest thing; Odyssey revisits the big arcs as memories.
How many One Piece games are there?
Seventeen released in Europe or North America, from Grand Battle! (2005) to Odyssey (2023), which is what this page lists. Japan has had more than fifty since 2000, most of them never translated.
Which One Piece games are on Nintendo consoles?
Grand Battle!, Grand Adventure and Pirates’ Carnival on GameCube; Unlimited Adventure and Unlimited Cruise 1 and 2 on Wii; Gigant Battle! on DS; Unlimited Cruise SP, Romance Dawn and Unlimited World Red on 3DS; Unlimited World Red on Wii U; and Unlimited World Red Deluxe, Pirate Warriors 3 and 4 and Odyssey on Switch.
What is the best One Piece game?
Odyssey for the story, Pirate Warriors 4 for the action, Unlimited World Red for the adventure-game feel that the Wii games started. On the Wii itself, Unlimited Cruise 2 is the fuller of the two.
Is Unlimited World Red on 3DS the full game?
Yes — the 3DS version was the lead version in Japan, and the Wii U, PS3 and Vita ports followed it. The Deluxe Edition on Switch and PS4 adds the DLC costumes and quests.
