Who does this

Every game goes through one pair of hands.

I’ve been collecting since 2018. I know what a real label looks like, whether a Pokémon save survives the console being switched off, and how to spot a fake EEPROM. That’s why I test every game before it goes out the door.

Save battery, cartridge label and whether the booklet is there. No “works as described” — it has been switched on here.

Screw type, label print, memory chip, circuit board, weight and save test. Reproductions are a plague; they do not get through.

Ordering from the United States

Why Americans buy their games in a Dutch village

The US market is full of reproduction cartridges and “untested” listings. Here every copy has been through one pair of hands — and the price you see is the price you pay, duties included.

That is also why a copy here costs more than a loose marketplace listing: you are paying for a cartridge that has been opened, tested and photographed before it was listed, with money back if it ever turns out fake — not for a “works, untested” gamble.

  • Authentic — or your money back

Every cartridge is opened and checked before it goes online: label print, product code, board and chip, weight, and a working save. Never a reproduction. If a game ever turns out fake, you get your money back.

  • It plays on your US console

Game Boy, Game Boy Color, GBA, DS and Switch cartridges have no region lock, so our European copies play on American hardware — in English. Region-locked systems (N64, GameCube, Wii, 3DS) need our NTSC-U copies, marked in the title.

  • Dollars, duties prepaid

Every price is in US dollars at a fixed shop rate — your bank converts nothing, and no sales tax is added. US import duty (12.5% on games and consoles, 10% on English Pokémon cards) is the only extra: added at checkout and prepaid, so nothing is due at the door, ever.

  • Tracked across the Atlantic

A tracked PostNL packet, handed to USPS for the last mile: from $11.26 for one game, at most $29.48 for more games or a handheld console (up to 2 kg / 4.4 lb, priced by weight), $59.40 for a home console or anything heavier — delivered in 6-10 business days.

  • One pair of hands since 2019

Lenn tests, photographs and packs every order himself — a registered Dutch business (KvK 93642474) in Enter, the Netherlands, with 1400+ verified buyer reviews on Marktplaats (the Dutch eBay) at a 4.8★ average.

  • 30-day returns, a personal reply

Not what you expected? You have 30 days to send it back, tracked (return postage at your own cost — unless the item is faulty or we made a mistake, then we pay it). A question before or after you order gets a personal answer by chat or email, usually within a few hours — we are on Central European Time, six hours ahead of New York, so an evening message is answered the next morning.

Does a European copy play on a US console?

Nintendo handhelds and the Switch never had a region lock; the home consoles up to the Wii U and the 3DS family do. Every product page repeats this for that exact copy.

  • Game Boy & Game Boy Color — plays, no region lock
  • Game Boy Advance — plays, no region lock
  • Nintendo DS — plays, no region lock*
  • Nintendo Switch — plays, no region lock
  • Nintendo 3DS & 2DS — region-locked: only our NTSC-U copies
  • Nintendo 64 — region-locked: only our NTSC-U copies
  • GameCube — region-locked: only our NTSC-U copies
  • Wii — region-locked: only our NTSC-U copies
  • Wii U — region-locked: only our NTSC-U copies
  • Super Nintendo — region-locked: only our NTSC-U copies
  • NES — region-locked: only our NTSC-U copies

* Nintendo DS: Black, White, Black 2 and White 2 are DSi-enhanced: on a DSi, 3DS or 2DS they are region-locked, on a DS or DS Lite they play.

Delivery time to the United States6-10 business days

We ship from the Netherlands: your package crosses the ocean, so it takes longer and costs more than a domestic delivery. US import duties are calculated at checkout and prepaid — nothing is due on delivery.

Why does shipping to the US cost more than at home?

Inside the Netherlands a single game fits in a small tracked packet for $7.14. To the United States that same tracked packet costs from $11.26. The difference is the route: across the Atlantic, through US customs with the duty already paid, and with USPS to your mailbox — PostNL charges for every step of it.

That amount covers the PostNL rate plus the packaging: a padded mailer or box, an antistatic sleeve for the cartridge, and tape. Several games share one package, priced by weight — a second game adds only a little. We never drop the tracking: on a package that crosses an ocean, shipping without proof of delivery is a risk for both of us.

Questions from American buyers

Are your Pokémon games authentic or reproductions?

Authentic — we never sell reproductions ("repros"). Every cartridge is personally checked before it goes online: label finish, product code, weight and a working save, plus the security screw and the board inside on Game Boy cartridges. We have been doing this since 2019, with 1400+ verified buyer reviews on Marktplaats (the Dutch eBay) at a 4.8★ average. If you ever receive a fake from us: money back.

Why buy from a shop in the Netherlands instead of eBay or Amazon?

Because you know what you get. On a marketplace the seller is a stranger and "untested" or "works" is all you are told; here one person opens every cartridge before it is listed — label print, product code, board and chip, weight, a working save — photographs that exact copy and packs it himself. No reproductions, no third-party sellers. 1400+ verified reviews since 2019 are the track record, and if a game ever turns out fake you get your money back.

Do you ship to the United States?

Yes — every order ships tracked via PostNL from the Netherlands to all fifty states, in 6-10 business days. The exact rate is shown at checkout before you pay, and that is exactly what you pay.

What does shipping to the US cost?

From $11.26 for one game, at most $29.48 for more games or a handheld console (up to 2 kg / 4.4 lb, priced by weight) and $59.40 for a home console or anything heavier; loose Pokémon cards $11.26 for up to a dozen. Always tracked door to door. A second game adds only a little shipping, and you see the exact amount in your cart before you pay — that is exactly what you pay.

Do I pay customs or import duties?

The United States charges import duty on every package from abroad since 2025. We settle it for you: the duty is calculated per item, by where it was made — 12.5% on games, consoles and Japanese cards (made in Japan or China), 10% on English and European Pokémon cards (printed in the EU) and none on printed manuals, guides and posters — and added at checkout, where you see the exact amount before you pay. PostNL delivers the package duties-paid: nothing is due at the door and the carrier never sends you a bill.

Do European Pokémon games work on an American Game Boy, GBA, DS or Switch?

Yes. Game Boy, Game Boy Color, Game Boy Advance, Nintendo DS and Nintendo Switch cartridges have no region lock, so a European (PAL) cartridge plays on a US console exactly like a US cartridge. One exception: Pokémon Black, White, Black 2 and White 2 are DSi-enhanced and therefore region-locked on a DSi, 3DS or 2DS — on an original DS or DS Lite they play regardless of region.

Will a PAL N64, GameCube, Wii or 3DS game work on my US console?

No. Those systems are region-locked: a European (PAL) cartridge or disc does not play on an American (NTSC) console. We do stock US copies of some of these games — they are marked NTSC-U in the title, and every product page says in plain words whether that copy plays on a US console.

Are the games in English?

Yes, unless the product name says otherwise (German edition, Japanese edition). Up to and including the DS every Pokémon game runs in one language per cartridge, and our copies are the English edition; on the Switch the European edition lets you pick English at start-up. The box and manual are the European print, with the PEGI rating instead of the ESRB one.

How can I pay from the US?

Through Mollie, a payment provider regulated by the Dutch Central Bank. At checkout you pay with credit card or PayPal — and with Apple Pay or Google Pay on your phone — in US dollars. Every price in this shop is in dollars, and the amount you see is exactly what is charged: our dollar prices follow the ECB exchange rate (we only move them when the rate shifts by more than 1%), so your bank converts nothing. No sales tax is added — the import duty, shown per item, is the only extra. Prefer to pay in euros? You can switch at checkout.

Why does shipping to the US cost what it costs?

Your package leaves our own stock in Enter, a village in the east of the Netherlands (European Union), and crosses the Atlantic by PostNL — tracked door to door and handed to USPS for the last mile. PostNL prices it per package by weight; we add one euro for the packing, and the customs paperwork is ours: the US import duty is calculated per item at checkout and prepaid, so nothing is due at the door. A second game adds only a little shipping, which is why most US customers order a few titles at once.

How do I track my package?

The shipping email carries your PostNL tracking number. It follows the package door to door: through the Netherlands, across the Atlantic and — once it has been handed to USPS — up to your mailbox. You can also follow it from the order page on this site, and ask us in the chat at any point.

What about returns?

You have 30 days to return your order. Send us a message or an email and we will sort it out together — a personal reply, usually within a few hours. The return goes back to the Netherlands by tracked mail; the return postage is at your own cost, unless the item is faulty or we made a mistake — then we pay it, and you get the full amount back.
