Who does this

Every game goes through one pair of hands.

I have collected myself since 2018. I know what a real label looks like, whether a Pokémon save survives the console being switched off, and how to spot a fake EEPROM. That is why I test every game before it goes out the door.

Tested on real hardware
Save battery, cartridge label and whether the booklet is there. No “works as described” — it has been switched on here.
Six authenticity checks
Screw type, label print, memory chip, circuit board, weight and save test. Reproductions are a plague; they do not get through.

Ordering from Canada — the rules

What you want to know before you buy: tax, console region, power, payment and returns — no small print.

Customs & tax

Canada is outside the EU. Parcels worth CA$20 or less arrive without tax or duty. Above CA$20, Canada charges GST or HST (5 to 15%, depending on your province, plus provincial sales tax where it applies); games, consoles and trading cards carry no customs duty. Canada Post collects the tax before delivery, together with a CA$9.95 handling fee. None of this is included in the price at checkout.

Will it play on my console?

Game Boy, GBA, DS and Switch cartridges have no region lock, so our European copies play on a Canadian console; region-locked systems (NES, SNES, N64, GameCube, Wii, Wii U, 3DS) need our NTSC-U copies — every product page says which edition you are buying.

Power & TV

A European (PAL) console needs a 230 V power supply and outputs a PAL video signal; Canadian mains is 120 V and a television there shows NTSC. The product page says whether you are buying a North American or a European console.

Payment

You pay in Canadian dollars — Credit card or PayPal. The amount at checkout is what your card or PayPal is charged, at our fixed shop rate; your bank converts nothing.

Returns

30 days to return, to our address in the Netherlands, tracked. Mark the customs form of the return parcel “returned goods”, so no Dutch import tax is charged.

Which language will I play in?

Our cartridges are the English edition unless the name says otherwise (German edition, Japanese edition). Up to and including the DS, every Pokémon game runs in one language per cartridge; from X/Y on the 3DS and on the Switch you choose at start-up between English, French, German, Spanish, Italian, Japanese and Korean, and from Sun & Moon also Chinese — Pokémon has never been released in any other language. For other games the product page lists the language as soon as it is established; if nothing is listed, ask us in the chat.

Shipped from the Netherlands

  • Your order leaves our own stock in Enter, the Netherlands, and travels to you with PostNL — always tracked, so you know exactly where your parcel is.
  • Canada is outside the EU.
  • Not what you hoped for after all? Send it back within 30 days to our Dutch address — one message and we sort it out together.
Delivery time to Canada6-10 business days

We ship from the Netherlands: your parcel crosses the ocean, so it takes longer and costs more than a domestic delivery. Parcels worth up to CA$20 arrive without tax or duty; above that, Canada charges GST or HST (5 to 15%, depending on your province), collected by Canada Post before delivery together with a CA$9.95 handling fee — none of it is included in the price at checkout. Games, consoles and trading cards carry no customs duty.

Why does shipping abroad cost this much?

Inside the Netherlands a single game fits through the letterbox — CA$6.95, tracking included. That service stops at the border. Anything leaving the country goes with PostNL as an international parcel, which is a different and considerably more expensive service. That is where the CA$56.79 comes from: the border itself is not what costs money, the cheap service simply ends there.

That amount covers the PostNL rate to your country plus the packaging: bubble mailer or box, an antistatic sleeve for the cartridge, and tape. We never drop the tracking — on a parcel that crosses a border, shipping without proof of delivery is a risk for both of us.

Secure payment

Credit cardPayPal
Apple PayGoogle Pay
  • Payment via Mollie — regulated by the Dutch central bank, encrypted.
  • Authenticity guarantee: if a game is ever fake, money back.
  • 30-day returns — send it back tracked, we sort it out together.
  • Shipped from the Netherlands with PostNL tracking — no tax or duty on parcels up to CA$20.

You pay in Canadian dollars

The price you see is the price you are charged, in Canadian dollars — our prices follow the ECB exchange rate at a fixed shop rate. Card (Visa, Mastercard, American Express), PayPal, Apple Pay and Google Pay all work, and your bank converts nothing.

Frequently asked from Canada

Do you ship to Canada?

Yes. Every order leaves our stock in Enter, the Netherlands, on the next working day and travels with PostNL, delivered by Canada Post — always tracked to your door. Delivery time 6-10 business days. At checkout you fill in your postal code (like M5V 3L9) and your province.

What does shipping to Canada cost?

CA$56.79 for 1-3 games and CA$85.23 for a console or 4+ items. That is the PostNL rate for an international parcel plus packaging; there is no free shipping to Canada. You see the exact amount in your cart as soon as you choose Canada — and that is exactly what you pay us.

Will I pay GST, HST or customs duty?

Parcels worth CA$20 or less arrive without tax or duty. Above CA$20, Canada charges GST or HST (5 to 15%, depending on your province, plus provincial sales tax where it applies); games, consoles and trading cards carry no customs duty. Canada Post collects the tax before delivery, together with a CA$9.95 handling fee. None of this is included in the price at checkout.

How can I pay from Canada?

Through Mollie, a payment provider regulated by the Dutch Central Bank: Credit card or PayPal, and on your phone Apple Pay and Google Pay. You pay in Canadian dollars at our fixed shop rate — your bank converts nothing. The payment page appears in English.

Are the games authentic?

Every cartridge is personally tested and checked for authenticity before it goes online — label finish, product code, weight and a working save function, plus the security screw and the board inside on Game Boy cartridges. If you ever receive a fake or repro from us: money back.

Do your games work on my Canadian console?

Game Boy, GBA, DS and Switch games have no region lock, so our European copies play on a Canadian console. Region-locked systems (NES, SNES, N64, GameCube, Wii, Wii U, 3DS) need a North American (NTSC-U) copy — every product page says which edition you are buying. Not sure? Ask us in the chat.

Do the consoles work on Canadian power?

A European (PAL) console comes with a 230 V power supply and outputs a PAL picture; Canadian mains is 120 V and Canadian TVs expect NTSC. The Game Boy family runs on batteries anywhere. The product page says whether you are buying a North American or a European console.

What about returns from Canada?

You have 30 days to return your order. Send us a message and we will sort it out together; the return goes to our address in the Netherlands. Mark the customs form “returned goods” so no Dutch import tax is charged. If something does not work, the return is on us.
