We ship from the Netherlands: your parcel crosses the world, so it takes longer and costs more than a domestic delivery. Online purchases under SAR 1,000 including shipping are free of customs duty, but Saudi VAT of 15% applies; from SAR 1,000, customs duty (usually 5%) is added. SPL collects it before delivery — it is not included in the price at checkout. At checkout you enter the short address of your National Address.
On your console in Saudi Arabia: Super Nintendo games are region-locked: this European (PAL) edition plays on a European (PAL) Super Nintendo — check the region of your console, or ask us in the chat.
Saudi Arabia is outside the EU. Online purchases worth less than SAR 1,000 in total, shipping included, are free of customs duty — but Saudi VAT of 15% still applies, sometimes with a small customs service fee from ZATCA. From SAR 1,000, customs duty (usually 5%) is added on top. SPL collects it before delivery; it is not included in the price at checkout. SPL delivers to your National Address, which is why checkout asks for your short address (4 letters and 4 digits, e.g. RRRD2929). You pay in euros — Credit card or PayPal. Mollie does not process Saudi riyals; next to every price you see the approximate amount in riyals, and your card converts the euro amount at its own rate.
Why does shipping abroad cost this much?
Inside the Netherlands a single game fits through the letterbox — €4.40, tracking included. That service stops at the border. Anything leaving the country goes with PostNL as an international parcel, which is a different and considerably more expensive service. That is where the €35.95 comes from: the border itself is not what costs money, the cheap service simply ends there.
That amount covers the PostNL rate to your country plus the packaging: bubble mailer or box, an antistatic sleeve for the cartridge, and tape. We never drop the tracking — on a parcel that crosses a border, shipping without proof of delivery is a risk for both of us.
Without you there would be nothing to grow. Every order that comes in here is the reason this shop can get bigger — and the reason I can keep doing this.

About this product
The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past for Super Nintendo — the Zelda series stands for timeless adventure and belongs in every Nintendo collection.
The Zelda that set the formula: two worlds that mirror each other, the Master Sword, and dungeons in which every item opens a new route.
With its original box — increasingly hard to find in this condition and a highlight in any collection. Cartridge cleaned and tested on original hardware, ready to play. Clear signs of use on the item, described honestly — the game works perfectly.
The Super Nintendo came out in 1990: 16-bit graphics with Mode 7 scaling and classics like Super Mario World, A Link to the Past and Super Metroid. On the original cartridge the game runs the way it was meant to — and keeps working for years to come.
Who is this for? Anyone who would rather play on a real Super Nintendo than in an emulator — collectors who want the original in their hands, and players who simply want that feeling back.
Super Nintendo games are region-locked: this European (PAL) edition plays on a European (PAL) Super Nintendo — check the region of your console, or ask us in the chat. Every item passes our authenticity check (shell, board, Nintendo markings) and a function test — you're buying 100% original Nintendo.
Shipped from the Netherlands with PostNL tracking to Saudi Arabia: from €53.95; Saudi VAT (15%) is collected on delivery, customs duty only from SAR 1,000. 30-day returns.

Seen it cheaper elsewhere?
For most titles there’s also a private listing online, sometimes a few euros cheaper. The difference isn’t in the title, but in the copy itself and in everything around it.
- Does it work?
- Here: Has been running here — save and label checked — before it went online.
- Private seller: ‘Works’ in the photo. You test it yourself, after buying.
- Is it genuine?
- Here: Six checks: screw, label, circuit board, weight, save and boot. A reproduction doesn’t get through.
- Private seller: Fakes are a plague with Pokémon and GBA games, and in a photo you can’t tell the difference.
- If it disappoints?
- Here: 30-day cooling-off period, and a 30-day warranty that it works.
- Private seller: No right of withdrawal: consumer law doesn’t apply between private individuals. Buyer protection only covers the first 48 hours after delivery; after that you’re on your own.
- Who’s behind it?
- Here: One person, who has held this game personally and answers your question personally.
- Private seller: Varies per listing.
Why you still remember this
The field where you first got lost
There was a moment when you walked outside and nobody told you which way to go. No arrow, no waypoint — just a horizon and the thought that something was out there. Few games since have dared to give you that feeling of real discovery.
One copy, this copy. Emulation gives you back the pictures, not the weight of the cartridge and the wait for the title screen.

About the Super Nintendo (SNES)
The Super Nintendo (1990 in Japan, 1992 in Europe) is the high point of the 16-bit era. With 49 million units sold, the SNES brought classics such as Super Mario World, Zelda: A Link to the Past, Super Metroid, Donkey Kong Country and Chrono Trigger — games that still feature on every “best ever” list. Original SNES cartridges get scarcer and more expensive every year.
- Cartridge-based: games that save do so on memory with a coin cell — Super Mario World, Zelda, the RPGs — and that cell can be replaced; many action games do not save or use passwords.
- American SNES cartridges have a different shape from European ones; a Japanese Super Famicom cartridge does fit in a PAL SNES, but the region lock (CIC chip) stops it — so without an adapter or a modified console, a PAL SNES does not play an NTSC cartridge.
- The SNES RPG market is full of reproductions (EarthBound, Chrono Trigger) — we only sell verified originals.
- Top prices for loose cartridges in good condition: EarthBound, Chrono Trigger, Super Metroid and the Donkey Kong Country trilogy.
Our tip: With a SNES cartridge, the 3.8 mm gamebit security screw is your best check: an original has that special screw, a reproduction often an ordinary Phillips screw. Plus a sharply printed label and a circuit board with a Nintendo engraving.
