Shipping €35.95 — your parcel leaves the Netherlands.

Order more than one and you share the shipping: a second game rides along free.

Purchases under SAR 1,000 (shipping included) are free of customs duty, but Saudi VAT of 15% applies, sometimes with a small customs service fee; from SAR 1,000 duty (usually 5%) is added. SPL collects it before delivery — it is not included in the price at checkout.

Crossing the border costs you more and takes longer. That you accept that anyway means a great deal to me.

We ship from the Netherlands: your parcel crosses the world, so it takes longer and costs more than a domestic delivery. Online purchases under SAR 1,000 including shipping are free of customs duty, but Saudi VAT of 15% applies; from SAR 1,000, customs duty (usually 5%) is added. SPL collects it before delivery — it is not included in the price at checkout. At checkout you enter the short address of your National Address.

On your console in Saudi Arabia: Game Boy games have no region lock, so this European (PAL) edition plays on any Game Boy, whatever region it is from.

Saudi Arabia is outside the EU. Online purchases worth less than SAR 1,000 in total, shipping included, are free of customs duty — but Saudi VAT of 15% still applies, sometimes with a small customs service fee from ZATCA. From SAR 1,000, customs duty (usually 5%) is added on top. SPL collects it before delivery; it is not included in the price at checkout. SPL delivers to your National Address, which is why checkout asks for your short address (4 letters and 4 digits, e.g. RRRD2929). You pay in euros — Credit card or PayPal. Mollie does not process Saudi riyals; on the product page, in your cart and at checkout you see the approximate total in riyals, and your card converts the euro amount at its own rate.

Why does shipping abroad cost this much?

Inside the Netherlands a single game fits through the letterbox — €4.40, tracking included. That service stops at the border. Anything leaving the country goes with PostNL as an international parcel, which is a different and considerably more expensive service. That is where the €35.95 comes from: the border itself is not what costs money, the cheap service simply ends there.

That amount covers the PostNL rate to your country plus the packaging: bubble mailer or box, an antistatic sleeve for the cartridge, and tape. We never drop the tracking — on a parcel that crosses a border, shipping without proof of delivery is a risk for both of us.

Without you there would be nothing to grow. Every order that comes in here is the reason this shop can get bigger — and the reason I can keep doing this.

Why you still remember this

The little screen you turned towards the street light

Playing in the back seat and hoping another lamp post would come before you reached that one tricky bit. Batteries that always ran out at the worst moment. And then came a Game Boy with colour, and you looked back at years of grey with different eyes.

One copy, this copy. Where a game saves its progress, it does so on a little battery in the cartridge — thirty years on, that’s the difference between carrying on and starting over.

Frequently asked questions about Paperboy

Is Paperboy original?

Yes, this is a 100% original Game Boy / Color product. Every item is personally checked for authenticity before it ships.

What condition is Paperboy in?

This is the original box with its booklets — without the game itself. Condition: Used — good condition. Box and booklets are personally checked for authenticity and show wear that fits their age.

How fast will Paperboy be shipped?

Paperboy goes out with PostNL on the next working day after your order and reaches you within 7-16 working days, with tracking. Shipping: €35.95.

Can I return it?

Yes, you have 30 days to change your mind — more than the 14 days the law requires. Return shipping is at your own cost, unless the item is faulty or we made a mistake — then we pay it.

How much does Paperboy cost?

Paperboy (Used — good condition) costs €79.95 at Gameshop Enter. Shipping: €35.95. Pay securely with Credit card or PayPal.

Which payment methods can I use?

You can pay with Credit card or PayPal. All payments are processed securely and encrypted by Mollie, a payment provider licensed by the Dutch central bank (De Nederlandsche Bank).

Do I get a warranty on Paperboy?

You have 30 days to change your mind (more than the law requires). Note: this is only the original box with booklets — no game — so there is no working warranty on a game. We do check the box and booklets personally for authenticity. Not as described on arrival? Free replacement or a refund.

How is Paperboy packed and shipped?

The boxed copy first goes into a box protector, then into bubble wrap and a sturdy shipping box. PostNL tracking included. Shipped on the next working day after payment.

Will I pay customs or import duties?

Will Paperboy work on my Game Boy / Color?

Note: this is only the original box with booklets — there is no playable game included. You are buying the packaging and booklets (ideal for completing a loose cartridge), not a game to play on your Game Boy / Color.

Is the manual included with Paperboy?

This is delivered as "Empty box only (no game)": the original box with its booklets, but without the game itself. The photos show exactly what is included.

Do you have more Game Boy / Color games?

Yes, we have a large Game Boy / Color collection. All games are original and personally tested.
