Shipping to Kuwait

Small parcel (1-3 games), tracked: €35.95
Parcel (console / 4+ items), tracked: €53.95
Delivery time: 13-26 working days

We ship from the Netherlands: your parcel crosses the world, so it takes longer and costs more than a domestic delivery. Kuwait has no VAT; Kuwaiti customs usually charges 5% import duty on the value of the goods, collected by Kuwait Post before delivery — it is not included in the price at checkout.

On your console in Kuwait: European (PAL) console: made for 230 V, and Kuwait's 240 V mains is fine for it (only the plug differs) — it plays European games, and region-free ones from anywhere.

Kuwait is outside the EU and has no VAT. Kuwaiti customs usually charges 5% import duty on the value of the goods; Kuwait Post collects it before delivery. It is not included in the price at checkout. You pay in euros — Credit card or PayPal. Mollie does not process Kuwaiti dinars; next to every price you see the approximate amount in dinars, and your card converts the euro amount at its own rate.

Why does shipping abroad cost this much?

Inside the Netherlands a single game fits through the letterbox — €4.40, tracking included. That service stops at the border. Anything leaving the country goes with PostNL as an international parcel, which is a different and considerably more expensive service. That is where the €35.95 comes from: the border itself is not what costs money, the cheap service simply ends there.

That amount covers the PostNL rate to your country plus the packaging: bubble mailer or box, an antistatic sleeve for the cartridge, and tape. We never drop the tracking — on a parcel that crosses a border, shipping without proof of delivery is a risk for both of us.

Without you there would be nothing to grow. Every order that comes in here is the reason this shop can get bigger — and the reason I can keep doing this.

About this product

New Nintendo 2DS XL Black + Green with Mario Kart 7 — Mario Kart is still one of Nintendo's best-loved series to this day.

Complete with its original box — far more sought-after than a loose unit. Powered on and tested before shipping: screen, buttons and charging checked. Clear signs of use, described honestly — technically flawless. This console has a touchscreen with stylus. The included stylus is not always the original Nintendo one — it may also be a well-fitting replacement stylus; it works exactly the same on the screen.

Who is this for? Players who want to relive the retro era, parents passing their childhood on to their kids, and collectors completing their Nintendo 2DS XL collection.

European (PAL) console: made for 230 V, and Kuwait's 240 V mains is fine for it (only the plug differs) — it plays European games, and region-free ones from anywhere. Every item passes our authenticity check (shell, board, Nintendo markings) and a function test — you're buying 100% original Nintendo.

Shipped from the Netherlands with PostNL tracking to Kuwait: from €53.95; no VAT in Kuwait, customs usually charges 5% duty on delivery. 30-day returns.

Seen it cheaper elsewhere?

For most titles there’s also a private listing online, sometimes a few euros cheaper. The difference isn’t in the title, but in the copy itself and in everything around it.

Does it work?: Here: Both screens, buttons, hinge, charging and ports checked — exactly what’s included is listed with the item.; Private seller: ‘Works fine’ — you find out at home.
Is it original?: Here: Shell and circuit board inspected; a replaced shell or screen is stated honestly.; Private seller: A replaced screen or shell is rarely mentioned.
If it disappoints?: Here: 30-day cooling-off period, and a 30-day warranty that it works.; Private seller: No right of withdrawal: consumer law doesn’t apply between private individuals. Buyer protection only covers the first 48 hours after delivery; after that you’re on your own.
Who’s behind it?: Here: One person, who has held this device personally and answers your question personally.; Private seller: Varies per listing.

Why you still remember this

Big screens, and shut before it went in your bag

Two big screens, the whole 3DS library in 2D, and a lid you snapped shut before it went in your bag. StreetPass hats from strangers after a day in town, and a shop on the console that has since closed for good.

One copy, this copy. Since the eShop closed in March 2023, a second-hand console with cartridges is the only way into this library.

What we see with Nintendo 2DS XL consoles

Our experience

With a second-hand console, the difference rarely lies in the electronics and almost always in what moves or lights up: both screens, the buttons, the hinge and the charging. Those are exactly the points we check on every device before it is shipped.

Our tip

With a second-hand device, look above all at the screen and the hinge — buttons and a power supply can still be replaced later, a screen or hinge is a lot harder.

About this specific copy

This copy comes with its original box. A manual or inserts may be included, but we do not guarantee them. This copy is in "Playable condition" — second-hand and fully working, but with visible wear: signs of use on the casing and scratches on the screen, which is therefore not scratch-free. Our grading is conservative.
