Shipping ₪125.19 — your parcel leaves the Netherlands.

Order more than one and you share the shipping: a second game rides along free.

Goods worth up to US$75 (shipping not counted) arrive without VAT or duty. Above US$75, Israel charges 18% VAT, collected by Israel Post before delivery together with a handling fee; above US$500 customs duty can be added — none of this is included in the price at checkout.

Crossing the border costs you more and takes longer. That you accept that anyway means a great deal to me.

Shipping to Israel

Small parcel (1-3 games), tracked: ₪125.19
Parcel (console / 4+ items), tracked: ₪187.86
Delivery time: 8-15 working days

We ship from the Netherlands: your parcel crosses a customs border, so it takes longer and costs more than a domestic delivery. Goods worth up to US$75 (shipping not counted) arrive without VAT or duty. Above US$75, Israel charges 18% VAT, collected by Israel Post before delivery together with a handling fee; above US$500 customs duty can be added too — none of this is included in the price at checkout.

On your console in Israel: Game Boy games have no region lock, so this European (PAL) edition plays on any Game Boy, whatever region it is from.

Israel is outside the EU. If the goods in your parcel are worth US$75 or less, you pay nothing: personal imports up to that value are exempt, and shipping does not count towards it. From US$75 up to US$500, customs duty is waived but Israel charges 18% VAT (and purchase tax where it applies), collected by Israel Post before delivery together with a handling fee. Above US$500 the parcel is treated as a regular import, and customs duty and purchase tax can be added. Parcels from the same sender within 72 hours count together. None of this is included in the price at checkout. You pay in Israeli shekels — Credit card or PayPal. The amount at checkout is what your card or PayPal is charged, at our fixed shop rate; your bank converts nothing.

Why does shipping abroad cost this much?

Inside the Netherlands a single game fits through the letterbox — ₪15.32, tracking included. That service stops at the border. Anything leaving the country goes with PostNL as an international parcel, which is a different and considerably more expensive service. That is where the ₪125.19 comes from: the border itself is not what costs money, the cheap service simply ends there.

That amount covers the PostNL rate to your country plus the packaging: bubble mailer or box, an antistatic sleeve for the cartridge, and tape. We never drop the tracking — on a parcel that crosses a border, shipping without proof of delivery is a risk for both of us.

Without you there would be nothing to grow. Every order that comes in here is the reason this shop can get bigger — and the reason I can keep doing this.

About this product

Titus the Fox for Game Boy / Color — original Nintendo retro, personally checked.

Titus’ platformer in which the fox Titus travels home from Marrakech to find his girlfriend Suzy, using crates and even enemies as throwing weapons.

With its original box — increasingly hard to find in this condition and a highlight in any collection. Cartridge cleaned and tested on original hardware, ready to play.

The Game Boy / Color came out in 1989: monochrome screen, AA batteries and 8-bit classics — the console that defined handheld gaming. On the original cartridge the game runs the way it was meant to — and keeps working for years to come.

Who is this for? Anyone who would rather play on a real Game Boy / Color than in an emulator — collectors who want the original in their hands, and players who simply want that feeling back.

Game Boy games have no region lock, so this European (PAL) edition plays on any Game Boy, whatever region it is from. Every item passes our authenticity check (shell, board, Nintendo markings) and a function test — you're buying 100% original Nintendo.

Shipped from the Netherlands with PostNL tracking to Israel: from ₪125.19; no VAT or duty on goods up to US$75, above that Israel Post collects 18% VAT. 30-day returns.

Seen it cheaper elsewhere?

For most titles there’s also a private listing online, sometimes a few euros cheaper. The difference isn’t in the title, but in the copy itself and in everything around it.

Does it work?: Here: Has been running here — save and label checked — before it went online.; Private seller: ‘Works’ in the photo. You test it yourself, after buying.
Is it genuine?: Here: Six checks: screw, label, circuit board, weight, save and boot. A reproduction doesn’t get through.; Private seller: Fakes are a plague with Pokémon and GBA games, and in a photo you can’t tell the difference.
If it disappoints?: Here: 30-day cooling-off period, and a 30-day warranty that it works.; Private seller: No right of withdrawal: consumer law doesn’t apply between private individuals. Buyer protection only covers the first 48 hours after delivery; after that you’re on your own.
Who’s behind it?: Here: One person, who has held this game personally and answers your question personally.; Private seller: Varies per listing.

Why you still remember this

The little screen you turned towards the street light

Playing in the back seat and hoping another lamp post would come before you reached that one tricky bit. Batteries that always ran out at the worst moment. And then came a Game Boy with colour, and you looked back at years of grey with different eyes.

One copy, this copy. Where a game saves its progress, it does so on a little battery in the cartridge — thirty years on, that’s the difference between carrying on and starting over.

Authenticity check

How we test Game Boy / Color games for authenticity

GB and GBC cartridges (1989-2002) are a favourite target for counterfeiters. We go through these five steps on every cartridge. Every Game Boy / Color game in our shop goes through this five-step check before it is sold.

1
Gamebit screw (3.8 mm)
A screw on the back that only opens with a 3.8 mm gamebit — not an ordinary Phillips screw.
2
Product code with DMG- or CGB- prefix
DMG- for the classic GB, CGB- for Game Boy Color. No prefix: then it is a counterfeit.
3
Label + Nintendo Seal of Quality
Sharp print, gold Seal of Quality, label perfectly applied.
4
Cartridge weight
Game Boy 18-24 g, Game Boy Color 22-25 g (measured range). Counterfeits with thinner plastic fall noticeably below that.
5
Start-up test
The Nintendo logo + title screen appear within 2 to 3 seconds. No corrupted sprites or crashes.

What we see with Game Boy / Color games

Our experience

GB + GBC cartridges have different properties: the original GB works in black and white, the GBC in colour. Some GBC cartridges (such as Pokémon Crystal) do NOT work on the original GB. That is why every product states explicitly what it works on.

Our tip

Check which system you have: the original GB plays grey and black (dual-mode) cartridges, but not the clear Colour-only games. The GBC plays everything from GB and GBC. The GBA plays GB + GBC + GBA. If you want to be able to play everything, a GBA SP is the safest choice.

About this specific copy

This copy comes with its original box. A manual or inserts may be included, but we do not guarantee them.

About Game Boy / Color

Game Boy / Color cartridges are compatible with both the original Game Boy and the Game Boy Color. They use colour on GBC hardware but also work (in black and white) on the original Game Boy. That gives maximum flexibility to players with both consoles.

Dual-compatible — works on the Game Boy and the Game Boy Color.
Popular titles: Pokémon Gold/Silver/Crystal, Zelda: Link’s Awakening DX, Super Mario Bros. Deluxe.
Recognisable by the black cartridge shell — grey is Game Boy-only, clear is Colour-only.
The cartridge itself does not wear out; only the coin cell for the save can be flat after 25+ years, and it can be replaced.

Our tip: These cartridges also fit in the Game Boy Advance and GBA SP (backwards compatible), which makes them one of the most flexible cartridge types.
