Shipping AED 148.57 — your parcel leaves the Netherlands.

Order more than one and you share the shipping: a second game rides along free.

Goods worth up to AED 1,000 are free of customs duty, but UAE VAT of 5% applies to imported goods; Emirates Post collects it before delivery. Above AED 1,000, 5% customs duty is added — none of this is included in the price at checkout.

Crossing the border costs you more and takes longer. That you accept that anyway means a great deal to me.

Shipping to the UAE

Small parcel (1-3 games), tracked: AED 148.57
Parcel (console / 4+ items), tracked: AED 222.96
Delivery time: 5-9 working days

We ship from the Netherlands: your parcel crosses the world, so it takes longer and costs more than a domestic delivery. Goods worth up to AED 1,000 are free of customs duty, but UAE VAT of 5% applies to imports; above AED 1,000, 5% duty is added. Emirates Post collects it before delivery — it is not included in the price at checkout.

On your console in the UAE: Nintendo 3DS games are region-locked: this European (PAL) edition plays on a European (PAL) Nintendo 3DS — check the region of your console, or ask us in the chat.

The United Arab Emirates are outside the EU. Goods worth up to AED 1,000 are free of customs duty (Dubai Customs, since 3 August 2026), but UAE VAT of 5% applies to imported goods; Emirates Post collects it before delivery. Above AED 1,000, 5% customs duty is added as well. None of this is included in the price at checkout. You pay in UAE dirhams — Credit card, Apple Pay or Google Pay. The amount at checkout is what your card is charged, at our fixed shop rate; your bank converts nothing. Prefer PayPal? Choose euros at checkout.

Why does shipping abroad cost this much?

Inside the Netherlands a single game fits through the letterbox — AED 18.18, tracking included. That service stops at the border. Anything leaving the country goes with PostNL as an international parcel, which is a different and considerably more expensive service. That is where the AED 148.57 comes from: the border itself is not what costs money, the cheap service simply ends there.

That amount covers the PostNL rate to your country plus the packaging: bubble mailer or box, an antistatic sleeve for the cartridge, and tape. We never drop the tracking — on a parcel that crosses a border, shipping without proof of delivery is a risk for both of us.

Without you there would be nothing to grow. Every order that comes in here is the reason this shop can get bigger — and the reason I can keep doing this.

About this product

The Legend of Zelda: Tri Force Heroes for Nintendo 3DS — the Zelda series stands for timeless adventure and belongs in every Nintendo collection.

Co-op Zelda for 3 players — totem tactics, 32 levels, multiplayer puzzles. An underrated title.

With its original box — increasingly hard to find in this condition and a highlight in any collection. Cartridge cleaned and tested on original hardware, ready to play.

The Nintendo 3DS came out in 2011: autostereoscopic 3D screen, StreetPass, backwards compatible with DS games. On the original cartridge the game runs the way it was meant to — and keeps working for years to come.

Who is this for? Anyone who would rather play on a real Nintendo 3DS than in an emulator — collectors who want the original in their hands, and players who simply want that feeling back.

Nintendo 3DS games are region-locked: this European (PAL) edition plays on a European (PAL) Nintendo 3DS — check the region of your console, or ask us in the chat. Every item passes our authenticity check (shell, board, Nintendo markings) and a function test — you're buying 100% original Nintendo.

Shipped from the Netherlands with PostNL tracking to the UAE: from AED 148.57; no customs duty on goods up to AED 1,000, UAE VAT (5%) is collected on delivery. 30-day returns.

Seen it cheaper elsewhere?

For most titles there’s also a private listing online, sometimes a little cheaper. The difference isn’t in the title, but in the copy itself and in everything around it.

Does it work?: Here: Has been running here — save and label checked — before it went online.; Private seller: ‘Works’ in the photo. You test it yourself, after buying.
Is it genuine?: Here: Label, product code on the back, colour and shape of the card, and booting. A reproduction doesn’t get through.; Private seller: Fakes are a plague with Pokémon and GBA games, and in a photo you can’t tell the difference.
If it disappoints?: Here: 30-day cooling-off period, and a 30-day warranty that it works.; Private seller: No right of withdrawal: consumer law doesn’t apply between private individuals. Buyer protection only covers the first 48 hours after delivery; after that you’re on your own.
Who’s behind it?: Here: One person, who has held this game personally and answers your question personally.; Private seller: Varies per listing.

Why you still remember this

The field where you first got lost

There was a moment when you walked outside and nobody told you which way to go. No arrow, no waypoint — just a horizon and the thought that something was out there. Few games since have dared to give you that feeling of real discovery.

One copy, this copy. Emulation gives you back the pictures, not the weight of the cartridge and the wait for the title screen.

Authenticity check

How we test Nintendo 3DS games for authenticity

3DS cartridges (2011-2020) have anti-counterfeit security, but fakes exist. We go through these five steps. Every Nintendo 3DS game in our shop goes through this five-step check before it is sold.

1
Card with a tab + sharp label
A 3DS card has a small protruding tab on the right, so it does not fit in a DS, and a slightly matte, sharply printed label. Glossy or blurry print is suspicious.
2
Product code CTR-XXXX
On the back: CTR- prefix (the internal codename of the 3DS). CTR-P-ECRP = Omega Ruby EU. No CTR- prefix or a mismatch = fake.
3
"Nintendo 3DS" branding
The cartridge must say "Nintendo 3DS", NOT "Nintendo DS" or "Nintendo DSi". Fakes often get this wrong.
4
Start-up test on a 3DS
The cartridge appears as an icon in the 3DS Home menu. An original cartridge gives the cinematic intro. Fakes give "data corrupted" or open a strange launcher.
5
Region and save test
A European card starts on a European 3DS or 2DS — an American or Japanese one does not, so the region on the label has to match. Then: save, switch off, switch on again; the save must still be there.

What we see with Nintendo 3DS games

Our experience

3DS cartridges can be recognised by the CTR product code and the tab on the side — that tab keeps them out of a DS. Since the eShop closed (March 2023), loose cartridges are the only way left to get 3DS games. We check cartridges with a start-up test, a region check and a save test.

Our tip

3DS cartridges only work on 3DS/2DS systems. NOT backwards compatible to DS systems (it does work the other way round: a 3DS plays DS games). The nicest screen is in the New 3DS XL and the New 2DS XL.

About this specific copy

This copy comes with its original box. A manual or inserts may be included, but we do not guarantee them.

About the Nintendo 3DS

The Nintendo 3DS (2011) is the direct successor to the DS and adds a glasses-free 3D effect to the top screen. The platform is fully backwards compatible with all DS games, which means you can effectively play 3,000+ titles. The 3DS eShop closed in March 2023 — since then, physical cartridges are the only way to get new content.

Fully backwards compatible with all Nintendo DS games.
The 3D effect can be switched off — it works in 2D for comfort during long sessions.
The eShop has been closed since March 2023. Physical 3DS cartridges get more expensive every year as supply dwindles.
Pokémon X/Y, Ultra Sun/Ultra Moon and Zelda: Ocarina of Time 3D are the most sought-after titles.

Our tip: 3DS cartridges are rarely counterfeited — the chip technology is too complex. So when buying, pay attention above all to the region (an American cartridge does not start on a European 3DS), the condition and the label quality; we check every copy anyway.
