The PlayStation 5 (2020) uses Ultra HD Blu-ray in a white case. Unlike the PS4, it only works one way: a PS5 disc does not run on a PS4, while your PS4 collection does come along to the PS5.

A PS5 disc needs a console with a disc drive — the Digital Edition cannot use it.
The white case distinguishes the PS5 from the blue PS4 release; some games exist in both versions.
