Shipping NZ$81.95 — your parcel leaves the Netherlands.

Order more than one and you share the shipping: a second game rides along free.

Orders up to NZ$1,000 are not charged GST or duty at the border (Customs may apply a small levy of a few dollars). Above NZ$1,000, New Zealand Customs charges 15% GST (plus duty where it applies) and an import entry fee before delivery — none of it is included in the price at checkout.

Crossing the border costs you more and takes longer. That you accept that anyway means a great deal to me.

Shipping to New Zealand

Small parcel (1-3 games), tracked: NZ$81.95
Parcel (console / 4+ items), tracked: NZ$139.98
Delivery time: 8-14 working days

We ship from the Netherlands: your parcel crosses the world, so it takes longer and costs more than a domestic delivery. Orders up to NZ$1,000 are not charged GST or duty at the border (Customs may apply a small levy of a few dollars); above NZ$1,000, New Zealand Customs charges 15% GST (plus duty where it applies) and an import entry fee before delivery — none of it is included in the price at checkout.

On a New Zealand console: European (PAL) edition — New Zealand shares the PAL region with Europe, so it plays on your GameCube, region lock or not. Game text in English unless the name says otherwise; the box and manual are the European print.

New Zealand is outside the EU. Orders up to NZ$1,000 are not charged GST or duty at the border: we are not registered for New Zealand GST, so nothing is added — Customs may only apply a small import levy of a few dollars per consignment. Above NZ$1,000, New Zealand Customs charges 15% GST (plus duty where it applies) and an import entry fee, collected before delivery. None of this is included in the price at checkout. You pay in New Zealand dollars — Credit card or PayPal. The amount at checkout is what your card or PayPal is charged, at our fixed shop rate; your bank converts nothing.

Why does shipping abroad cost this much?

Inside the Netherlands a single game fits through the letterbox — NZ$8.81, tracking included. That service stops at the border. Anything leaving the country goes with PostNL as an international parcel, which is a different and considerably more expensive service. That is where the NZ$81.95 comes from: the border itself is not what costs money, the cheap service simply ends there.

That amount covers the PostNL rate to your country plus the packaging: bubble mailer or box, an antistatic sleeve for the cartridge, and tape. We never drop the tracking — on a parcel that crosses a border, shipping without proof of delivery is a risk for both of us.

Without you there would be nothing to grow. Every order that comes in here is the reason this shop can get bigger — and the reason I can keep doing this.

About this product

Mario Kart: Double Dash!! (Zelda Collector's Edition Bundle) for GameCube — the Zelda series stands for timeless adventure and belongs in every Nintendo collection.

The GameCube Mario Kart with two racers per kart and team item combos — here as a bundle release.

With its original box — increasingly hard to find in this condition and a highlight in any collection. Disc cleaned and tested, ready to play.

The GameCube came out in 2001: mini-DVD discs and exclusives like Wind Waker, Smash Melee and Metroid Prime. On the original disc the game runs the way it was meant to — and keeps working for years to come.

Who is this for? Anyone who would rather play on a real GameCube than in an emulator — collectors who want the original in their hands, and players who simply want that feeling back.

European (PAL) edition — New Zealand shares the PAL region with Europe, so it plays on your GameCube, region lock or not. Game text in English unless the name says otherwise; the box and manual are the European print. Every item passes our authenticity check (case, disc, print) and a function test — you're buying 100% original.

Shipped from the Netherlands with PostNL tracking to New Zealand: from NZ$81.95; no GST or duty on orders up to NZ$1,000. 30-day returns.

Seen it cheaper elsewhere?

For most titles there’s also a private listing online, sometimes a few euros cheaper. The difference isn’t in the title, but in the copy itself and in everything around it.

Does it work?: Here: Booted on the console itself and the disc checked for scratches before it went online.; Private seller: ‘Works’ in the photo. You test it yourself, after buying.
Is it genuine?: Here: Nintendo pressing code, case and artwork checked — no burned copy.; Private seller: A burned copy in a genuine case is impossible to spot in a photo.
If it disappoints?: Here: 30-day cooling-off period, and a 30-day warranty that it works.; Private seller: No right of withdrawal: consumer law doesn’t apply between private individuals. Buyer protection only covers the first 48 hours after delivery; after that you’re on your own.
Who’s behind it?: Here: One person, who has held this game personally and answers your question personally.; Private seller: Varies per listing.

Why you still remember this

The blue shell curse, in the living room

Four controllers, one sofa, and the same old argument about who was player one. The last bend of Rainbow Road, the blue shell that came exactly one second too early, and someone shouting “I’m not playing any more” — and ten seconds later playing again.

One copy, this copy. Evenings like these only work with a disc or cartridge you slide in while friends are over — not with an account and a four-gigabyte update.

Authenticity check

How we test GameCube games for authenticity

GameCube discs (2001-2007) are harder to counterfeit than cartridges, but burned copies exist. We go through these five steps. Every GameCube game in our shop goes through this five-step check before it is sold.

1
Disc quality + Nintendo logo
An original GCN mini-disc has a clear Nintendo logo + game artwork. A blank "white" disc with a sticker = fake/burned copy.
2
Case colour + label
Original case: dark grey/black (depending on region). Label on the disc and the back of the case sharply printed. Fakes: light grey case, dull grey label.
3
Product code DOL-XXXX
On the disc: DOL- prefix (Dolphin = the GCN codename). DOL-GZLP-EUR = Wind Waker EU. No DOL- prefix = fake.
4
Manual + memory card check
Original GCN games came with a manual + saving on a memory card. A missing manual does not necessarily mean fake (it can be lost). No working save via the memory card slot = possibly a burned disc.
5
Boot in a GameCube or Wii
A GCN disc loads on an original GameCube and on a Wii (in GCN compatibility mode on an original Wii). Boots to the title in 5-10 sec. Fake burned discs: often skipped frames in the intro.

What we see with GameCube games

Our experience

GameCube discs (2001-2007) are harder to counterfeit than cartridges. We do come across burned copies — recognisable by a white, blank disc surface with a sticker on it instead of printed artwork. We check the DOL product code, the Nintendo mark and the start-up in an original GameCube.

Our tip

GameCube discs only work on the original GCN console and on the original Wii (which still plays GameCube discs). The Switch and Wii U cannot play GCN. Saving is done via a memory card; we state whether one is included.

About this specific copy

This copy comes with its original box. A manual or inserts may be included, but we do not guarantee them.

About the Nintendo GameCube

The Nintendo GameCube (2001) is the compact purple cube that sold 21 million units — a modest figure, but with outstanding software. Super Smash Bros. Melee, Metroid Prime, Resident Evil 4 and Zelda: Wind Waker are GameCube icons that are still played today.

8 cm mini-DVDs instead of standard discs — a unique format.
480p component output for modern TVs on the first models — the original cable is rare and expensive.
Well over 650 games released — a small library, high quality.
The Game Boy Player accessory plays GBA cartridges on the TV via the GameCube.

Our tip: GameCube games have been rising in value for years, led by Super Smash Bros. Melee and Metroid Prime. Get in while it is still affordable — and the disc also plays on an early Wii with GameCube ports.
