We ship from the Netherlands: your parcel crosses the ocean, so it takes longer and costs more than a domestic delivery. US import duties are calculated at checkout and prepaid — nothing is due on delivery.
On a US console: Nintendo Switch games have no region lock, so this European (PAL) edition plays on a US Nintendo Switch. Game text in English; the box and manual are the European print.
US import duties (12.5%) are added at checkout and prepaid — nothing is due on delivery. Prices and checkout are in US dollars at our fixed shop rate — your bank converts nothing.
Why does shipping abroad cost this much?
Inside the Netherlands a single game fits through the letterbox — $4.93, tracking included. That service stops at the border. Anything leaving the country goes with PostNL as an international parcel, which is a different and considerably more expensive service. That is where the $38.05 comes from: the border itself is not what costs money, the cheap service simply ends there.
That amount covers the PostNL rate to your country plus the packaging: bubble mailer or box, an antistatic sleeve for the cartridge, and tape. We never drop the tracking — on a parcel that crosses a border, shipping without proof of delivery is a risk for both of us.
Without you there would be nothing to grow. Every order that comes in here is the reason this shop can get bigger — and the reason I can keep doing this.

About this product
The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom — Collector's Edition for Nintendo Switch — the Zelda series stands for timeless adventure and belongs in every Nintendo collection.
Sequel to Breath of the Wild with Ultrahand (gluing objects together into vehicles) and three layers of Hyrule: sky, surface, depths.
Factory sealed — an unplayed collector's copy in its original shrink-wrap.
Why sealed? Sealed Nintendo Switch games are sought after by collectors — especially well-known titles and early print runs. A great gift, or a solid asset in your collection.
Nintendo Switch games have no region lock, so this European (PAL) edition plays on a US Nintendo Switch. Game text in English; the box and manual are the European print. Every item passes our authenticity check (shell, board, Nintendo markings) and a function test — you're buying 100% original Nintendo.
Shipped from the Netherlands with PostNL tracking to the US: from $38.05, import duties paid at checkout. 30-day returns.
Seen it cheaper elsewhere?
For most titles there’s also a private listing online, sometimes a few euros cheaper. The difference isn’t in the title, but in the copy itself and in everything around it.
- Is it really sealed?
- Here: Seal, factory wrap, production code and weight checked — not opened, not resealed.
- Private seller: A reseal with new wrap is impossible to spot in a photo.
- If it disappoints?
- Here: 30-day cooling-off period, and a 60-day warranty.
- Private seller: No right of withdrawal: consumer law doesn’t apply between private individuals. Buyer protection only covers the first 48 hours after delivery; after that you’re on your own.
- Who’s behind it?
- Here: One person, who has held this copy personally and answers your question personally.
- Private seller: Varies per listing.

Compatibility — Nintendo Switch
Nintendo Switch cartridges are region-free and work on the whole Switch family. The Switch 2 (since June 2025) plays Switch 1 cartridges through backwards compatibility.
| Console | Works? |
|---|---|
| Nintendo Switch (original) | Yes |
| Nintendo Switch OLED | Yes |
| Nintendo Switch Lite | Yes |
| Nintendo Switch 2 | Yes |
- Nintendo Switch (original): Native
- Nintendo Switch OLED: Native — better screen, same games
- Nintendo Switch Lite: Native — handheld only, no TV mode
- Nintendo Switch 2: Backwards compatible (confirmed by Nintendo)
Please note
- •Switch games are region-free — an EU cart works on a US or Japanese Switch without modification.
- •The Switch Lite has no TV output and fixed controllers — games that need detached Joy-Cons (such as 1-2-Switch) only play on it with separately bought Joy-Cons.
About the Nintendo Switch
The Nintendo Switch (2017) is Nintendo’s hybrid platform — it plays both on the TV and in handheld mode. With well over 150 million units sold and a library of 12,000+ titles (physical + digital), the Switch is, together with the DS, the best-selling Nintendo platform ever. The Switch 2 (June 2025) plays almost the entire Switch library, so a cartridge bought today stays usable.
- Hybrid design — TV (1080p) or handheld (720p) in the same console.
- Cartridges do not wear out: a second-hand Switch game plays exactly like a new one.
- The Switch 2 is backwards compatible with almost all Switch games.
- Exclusive hits: Zelda Breath of the Wild, Super Mario Odyssey, Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, Animal Crossing New Horizons.
Our tip: Physical or digital? Physical Switch cartridges can be resold (they are not tied to an account) and work on the Switch 2. For long-term ownership, physical is the smartest choice.
