Shipping to the United States

Small parcel (1-3 games), tracked: $38.05
Parcel (console / 4+ items), tracked: $59.35
Delivery time: 6-10 working days

We ship from the Netherlands: your parcel crosses the ocean, so it takes longer and costs more than a domestic delivery. US import duties are calculated at checkout and prepaid — nothing is due on delivery.

On a US console: Nintendo DS games have no region lock, so this European (PAL) edition plays on a US Nintendo DS. Game text in English; the box and manual are the European print.

US import duty on this item: 12.5% of its price, added at checkout and prepaid — nothing is due on delivery. Prices and checkout are in US dollars at our fixed shop rate — your bank converts nothing.

Why does shipping abroad cost this much?

Inside the Netherlands a single game fits through the letterbox — $4.93, tracking included. That service stops at the border. Anything leaving the country goes with PostNL as an international parcel, which is a different and considerably more expensive service. That is where the $38.05 comes from: the border itself is not what costs money, the cheap service simply ends there.

That amount covers the PostNL rate to your country plus the packaging: bubble mailer or box, an antistatic sleeve for the cartridge, and tape. We never drop the tracking — on a parcel that crosses a border, shipping without proof of delivery is a risk for both of us.

Without you there would be nothing to grow. Every order that comes in here is the reason this shop can get bigger — and the reason I can keep doing this.

About this product

Pro Evolution Soccer 6 for Nintendo DS — original Nintendo retro, personally checked.

Konami's first PES on the Nintendo DS: the big brother's football in pocket size, with the stylus to pass and shoot on the bottom screen, league and cup, and matches against a friend over the wireless connection.

Cartridge cleaned and tested on original hardware, ready to play.

The Nintendo DS came out in 2004: dual screen, touchscreen and microphone — over 154 million sold worldwide. On the original cartridge the game runs the way it was meant to — and keeps working for years to come.

Who is this for? Anyone who would rather play on a real Nintendo DS than in an emulator — collectors who want the original in their hands, and players who simply want that feeling back.

Nintendo DS games have no region lock, so this European (PAL) edition plays on a US Nintendo DS. Game text in English; the box and manual are the European print. Every item passes our authenticity check (shell, board, Nintendo markings) and a function test — you're buying 100% original Nintendo.

Shipped from the Netherlands with PostNL tracking to the US: from $38.05, import duties paid at checkout. 30-day returns.

Seen it cheaper elsewhere?

For most titles there’s also a private listing online, sometimes a few euros cheaper. The difference isn’t in the title, but in the copy itself and in everything around it.

Does it work?: Here: Has been running here — save and label checked — before it went online.; Private seller: ‘Works’ in the photo. You test it yourself, after buying.
Is it genuine?: Here: Label, product code on the back, colour and shape of the card, and booting. A reproduction doesn’t get through.; Private seller: Fakes are a plague with Pokémon and GBA games, and in a photo you can’t tell the difference.
If it disappoints?: Here: 30-day cooling-off period, and a 30-day warranty that it works.; Private seller: No right of withdrawal: consumer law doesn’t apply between private individuals. Buyer protection only covers the first 48 hours after delivery; after that you’re on your own.
Who’s behind it?: Here: One person, who has held this game personally and answers your question personally.; Private seller: Varies per listing.

Why you still remember this

The soundtrack you can still sing along to

Two minutes per run, the same songs a hundred times, and a combo your friends had to be there for. You knew every ramp and every bend, and the menu tune is still in your head.

One copy, this copy. The music and licences from back then are only on the original disc or cartridge — re-releases often miss them.

Will it work on my console?

Please note

•DS cartridges are region-free — a European cartridge works fine on a Japanese or American DS console. The one exception: the DSi-enhanced cards (Pokémon Black/White and Black 2/White 2) are tied to their own region on a DSi, 3DS or 2DS; on a DS or DS Lite those play anywhere too.
•From the DSi onwards the GBA slot (Slot-2) is gone — DS games still work, GBA games no longer do.

Authenticity check

How we test Nintendo DS games for authenticity

DS cartridges (2004-2014) are a target for counterfeiters, especially Pokémon titles (HeartGold, SoulSilver, Black/White 2). We go through these five steps. Every Nintendo DS game in our shop goes through this five-step check before it is sold.

1
Glued shell — no screw
DS game cards are glued and clipped, not screwed. A screw in a DS game card is actually suspicious — it points to an opened or counterfeit cartridge. Normal size: 35×33 mm. Fakes sometimes have slightly different dimensions.
2
Product code NTR-XXXX
On the back: NTR- prefix (Nitro, the codename of the DS). NTR-IPKP-EUR = HeartGold EU, NTR-IPGP-EUR = SoulSilver EU; the American releases end in E-USA. A label-code mismatch = fake.
3
Label print and card colour
Sharp, slightly matte print; the card colour belongs to the title — standard dark grey, HeartGold and SoulSilver black with an infrared window, DSi-enhanced titles such as Black and White white. Glossy or blurry print and the wrong colour are the first signs of a counterfeit.
4
Back "NTR-005 PAT.PEND" + Nintendo logo
The back of a real DS game card has the moulded inscription "NTR-005 PAT.PEND" and the Nintendo logo. If it is missing, or something else is there, it is a fake.
5
Start-up test in a DS Lite or 3DS
The game loads to the title screen within 2 to 3 seconds. Save persistence test (save → eject → reload). Fakes give "save data corrupted" or crash on specific events.

What we see with Nintendo DS games

Our experience

DS cartridges (2004-2014) are counterfeited a lot, especially Pokémon HeartGold/SoulSilver/Black 2/White 2. We check the NTR product code on the back, the label print and the colour of the card, and start every copy in a DS or 3DS. The save is in flash memory, so there is no battery that can run flat: your progress stays saved for decades.

Our tip

DS cartridges work in all DS systems (DS, DS Lite, DSi, DSi XL) and all 3DS models (3DS, 3DS XL, New 3DS, New 3DS XL, 2DS, New 2DS XL). If you want a bigger screen, look at a DS Lite or a New 3DS XL.

About the Nintendo DS

The Nintendo DS (2004) is, with 154 million units sold, Nintendo’s best-selling handheld ever. The platform runs everything on two screens — an ordinary LCD at the top and a touchscreen at the bottom. That dual-screen design made games like Brain Training, Nintendogs and Pokémon HeartGold possible that would not work anywhere else.

More than 1,800 physical games released — the largest library of any Nintendo handheld.
Backwards compatible with Game Boy Advance cartridges (original DS and DS Lite, not DSi and 3DS).
Cartridges are virtually indestructible: flash memory instead of battery saves on most titles.
Pokémon HeartGold, SoulSilver, Platinum and Diamond/Pearl have become collector’s items — loose cartridges too.

Our tip: With second-hand DS games: check whether the cartridge colour matches the title (standard dark grey; HeartGold and SoulSilver black with an infrared window, DSi-enhanced titles such as Pokémon Black and White white) and the back — a sharply printed Nintendo logo is the first sign that a DS cartridge is original.
