Shipping to Singapore

Small parcel (1-3 games), tracked: S$51.75
Parcel (console / 4+ items), tracked: S$77.66
Delivery time: 6-10 working days

We ship from the Netherlands: your parcel crosses the world, so it takes longer and costs more than a domestic delivery. Parcels worth up to S$400 in total (shipping included) arrive without GST or duty — we are not registered for Singapore GST, so the import relief applies. Above S$400, 9% GST is charged on the whole value and collected by SingPost before delivery — it is not included in the price at checkout.

On your console in Singapore: Trading cards carry no region lock: this is the English print.

Singapore is outside the EU. If your parcel is worth S$400 or less in total, shipping included, no GST or duty is added: we are not registered for Singapore GST, so the import relief for postal and air shipments applies. Above S$400, Singapore charges 9% GST on the whole value (goods plus shipping), collected by SingPost before delivery, sometimes with a small handling fee. None of this is included in the price at checkout. Singapore only levies customs duty on liquor, tobacco, motor vehicles and fuel — not on games, consoles or cards. You pay in Singapore dollars — Credit card or PayPal. The amount at checkout is what your card or PayPal is charged, at our fixed shop rate; your bank converts nothing.

Why does shipping abroad cost this much?

Inside the Netherlands a single game fits through the letterbox — S$6.33, tracking included. That service stops at the border. Anything leaving the country goes with PostNL as an international parcel, which is a different and considerably more expensive service. That is where the S$51.75 comes from: the border itself is not what costs money, the cheap service simply ends there.

That amount covers the PostNL rate to your country plus the packaging: bubble mailer or box, an antistatic sleeve for the cartridge, and tape. We never drop the tracking — on a parcel that crosses a border, shipping without proof of delivery is a risk for both of us.

Without you there would be nothing to grow. Every order that comes in here is the reason this shop can get bigger — and the reason I can keep doing this.

Seen it cheaper elsewhere?

For most titles there’s also a private listing online, sometimes a few euros cheaper. The difference isn’t in the title, but in the copy itself and in everything around it.

Is it really sealed?: Here: Seal, factory wrap, production code and weight checked — not opened, not resealed.; Private seller: A reseal with new wrap is impossible to spot in a photo.
If it disappoints?: Here: 30-day cooling-off period, and a 60-day warranty.; Private seller: No right of withdrawal: consumer law doesn’t apply between private individuals. Buyer protection only covers the first 48 hours after delivery; after that you’re on your own.
Who’s behind it?: Here: One person, who has held this pack personally and answers your question personally.; Private seller: Varies per listing.

Why you still remember this

The moment just before you know what’s inside

The rustle of the wrapper, the energy card on top that let you down for a second, and then that half-second as you turn over the last card. You knew which one you were after and you also knew the odds were small — which is exactly why you held it back until the end.

One copy, this copy. You only open a sealed pack once. The seal is the only proof that nobody did it before you.

Authenticity check

How we check Pokémon cards for authenticity

Pokémon cards are counterfeited a lot, and the better fakes cannot be told apart from real ones on a photo. That is why every card in our shop goes through these five checks before it is sold.

1
Light test — the black core layer
A real Pokémon card consists of two layers of card stock with a black core in between. Held against a bright lamp, it lets almost no light through. A counterfeit lacks that core and visibly lights up. This is the quickest and hardest test there is.
2
Edge inspection under magnification
Along the side of a real card runs a thin, even black line — the same core as above, now seen from the side. On a counterfeit that line is missing, greyish or unevenly thick.
3
Print pattern of the artwork
Official cards are printed with a fine, regular rosette pattern. Under a loupe you see a tight dot pattern. Counterfeits show coarse, blurry or irregularly placed dots, especially in flat areas of colour.
4
Font, spacing and the back
The attack text, the HP number and the set symbol are in fixed fonts with fixed spacing. The blue back has a specific colour balance. Different letter weight, crooked alignment or a back that is too dark or too purple are direct signals.
5
Size, weight and feel
A standard card measures 63 × 88 mm and weighs about 1.7 grams. Counterfeits are often a fraction larger or smaller, feel smoother or rather flimsier, and spring back differently.

About this card

What does 72/131 mean?

The collector number is at the bottom left of the card: this is card 72 of the 131 in the main set. That is how you check that you have the right print in your hands — the same artwork appears in different sets with a different number.

How to judge the condition

The photos on this page show exactly the copy you will receive — not a stock photo. Look at the edges, the corners and the surface: what you see in the photo is what lands in your letterbox.
