Good to know: save battery not replaced

This cartridge stores your progress on an internal battery. After 20+ years the original batteries are often flat — saving is then not possible. The game plays perfectly well, but progress is lost when you switch off. Replacement is possible.

One of a kind — only reserved at checkout

30-day guarantee: genuine and as described · checked in person

Shipping HK$307.40 — your parcel leaves the Netherlands.

Order more than one and you share the shipping: a second game rides along free.

Hong Kong is a free port: no import duty, no VAT or GST. The amount you see at checkout is the final amount.

Crossing the border costs you more and takes longer. That you accept that anyway means a great deal to me.

We ship from the Netherlands: your parcel crosses the world, so it takes longer and costs more than a domestic delivery. Hong Kong is a free port: no import duty, no VAT or GST — the amount at checkout is the final amount.

On a Hong Kong console: Game Boy games have no region lock, so this European (PAL) edition plays on a Hong Kong Game Boy. Game text in English; the box and manual are the European print.

Hong Kong is a free port: no import duty and no VAT or GST on games, consoles or trading cards. The price at checkout is what you pay — nothing is added on delivery. You pay in Hong Kong dollars — Credit card or PayPal. The amount at checkout is what your card or PayPal is charged, at our fixed shop rate; your bank converts nothing.

Why does shipping abroad cost this much?

Inside the Netherlands a single game fits through the letterbox — HK$38.70, tracking included. That service stops at the border. Anything leaving the country goes with PostNL as an international parcel, which is a different and considerably more expensive service. That is where the HK$307.40 comes from: the border itself is not what costs money, the cheap service simply ends there.

That amount covers the PostNL rate to your country plus the packaging: bubble mailer or box, an antistatic sleeve for the cartridge, and tape. We never drop the tracking — on a parcel that crosses a border, shipping without proof of delivery is a risk for both of us.

Without you there would be nothing to grow. Every order that comes in here is the reason this shop can get bigger — and the reason I can keep doing this.

Why you still remember this

The booklet you’d already read in the car

Before you were even home you knew the names of everything in it. The map across the two middle pages, the tips you only understood once you were standing there yourself, and the blank page at the back where you wrote down your codes and your team names. The booklet belonged to the game the way the box did.

One copy, this copy. This is the booklet, not the game. Manuals are the first thing to be thrown away and the last thing you find again — whatever is left, somebody kept on purpose.
