Shipping A$113.44 — your parcel leaves the Netherlands.

Order more than one and you share the shipping: a second game rides along free.

Crossing the border costs you more and takes longer. That you accept that anyway means a great deal to me.

Shipping to Australia

Small parcel (1-3 games), tracked: A$66.41
Parcel (console / 4+ items), tracked: A$113.44
Delivery time: 8-14 working days

We ship from the Netherlands: your parcel crosses the world, so it takes longer and costs more than a domestic delivery. Orders up to A$1,000 clear Australian customs without GST or duty; above that, Border Force charges 10% GST (plus duty where it applies) and an import processing charge before delivery — none of it is included in the price at checkout.

On an Australian console: US (NTSC-U) edition on a region-locked system: it does not play on a Australian (PAL) Super Nintendo, only on a matching console or a region-free modded one.

Australia is outside the EU. Orders up to A$1,000 in value clear customs without GST or duty: we are not registered for Australian GST, so nothing is added. Above A$1,000, Australian Border Force charges 10% GST on the goods and shipping (plus duty where it applies) and an import processing charge, which Australia Post collects before delivery. None of this is included in the price at checkout. You pay in Australian dollars — Credit card or PayPal. The amount at checkout is what your card or PayPal is charged, at our fixed shop rate; your bank converts nothing.

Why does shipping abroad cost this much?

Inside the Netherlands a single game fits through the letterbox — A$7.14, tracking included. That service stops at the border. Anything leaving the country goes with PostNL as an international parcel, which is a different and considerably more expensive service. That is where the A$66.41 comes from: the border itself is not what costs money, the cheap service simply ends there.

That amount covers the PostNL rate to your country plus the packaging: bubble mailer or box, an antistatic sleeve for the cartridge, and tape. We never drop the tracking — on a parcel that crosses a border, shipping without proof of delivery is a risk for both of us.

Without you there would be nothing to grow. Every order that comes in here is the reason this shop can get bigger — and the reason I can keep doing this.

About this product

Lagoon for Super Nintendo — original Nintendo retro, personally checked.

Kemco’s action RPG on the SNES: as Nasir you fight with sword and magic against the evil poisoning the waters of Lakeland, with shops, levels and bosses in early 16-bit style.

With its original box — increasingly hard to find in this condition and a highlight in any collection. Cartridge cleaned and tested on original hardware, ready to play. Clear signs of use on the item, described honestly — the game works perfectly.

The Super Nintendo came out in 1990: 16-bit graphics with Mode 7 scaling and classics like Super Mario World, A Link to the Past and Super Metroid. On the original cartridge the game runs the way it was meant to — and keeps working for years to come.

Who is this for? Anyone who would rather play on a real Super Nintendo than in an emulator — collectors who want the original in their hands, and players who simply want that feeling back.

US (NTSC-U) edition on a region-locked system: it does not play on a Australian (PAL) Super Nintendo, only on a matching console or a region-free modded one. Every item passes our authenticity check (shell, board, Nintendo markings) and a function test — you're buying 100% original Nintendo.

Shipped from the Netherlands with PostNL tracking to Australia: from A$113.44; no GST or duty on orders up to A$1,000. 30-day returns.

Seen it cheaper elsewhere?

For most titles there’s also a private listing online, sometimes a few euros cheaper. The difference isn’t in the title, but in the copy itself and in everything around it.

Does it work?: Here: Has been running here — save and label checked — before it went online.; Private seller: ‘Works’ in the photo. You test it yourself, after buying.
Is it genuine?: Here: Six checks: screw, label, circuit board, weight, save and boot. A reproduction doesn’t get through.; Private seller: Fakes are a plague with Pokémon and GBA games, and in a photo you can’t tell the difference.
If it disappoints?: Here: 30-day cooling-off period, and a 30-day warranty that it works.; Private seller: No right of withdrawal: consumer law doesn’t apply between private individuals. Buyer protection only covers the first 48 hours after delivery; after that you’re on your own.
Who’s behind it?: Here: One person, who has held this game personally and answers your question personally.; Private seller: Varies per listing.

Why you still remember this

The sound of a cartridge clicking in

Big boxes, thick manuals you’d already read in the car, and games you couldn’t save — so you played them through in one go. You managed, because you had to.

One copy, this copy. The big boxes were usually thrown away — what’s still complete is what someone kept.

About the Super Nintendo (SNES)

The Super Nintendo (1990 in Japan, 1992 in Europe) is the high point of the 16-bit era. With 49 million units sold, the SNES brought classics such as Super Mario World, Zelda: A Link to the Past, Super Metroid, Donkey Kong Country and Chrono Trigger — games that still feature on every “best ever” list. Original SNES cartridges get scarcer and more expensive every year.

Cartridge-based: games that save do so on memory with a coin cell — Super Mario World, Zelda, the RPGs — and that cell can be replaced; many action games do not save or use passwords.
American SNES cartridges have a different shape from European ones; a Japanese Super Famicom cartridge does fit in a PAL SNES, but the region lock (CIC chip) stops it — so without an adapter or a modified console, a PAL SNES does not play an NTSC cartridge.
The SNES RPG market is full of reproductions (EarthBound, Chrono Trigger) — we only sell verified originals.
Top prices for loose cartridges in good condition: EarthBound, Chrono Trigger, Super Metroid and the Donkey Kong Country trilogy.

Our tip: With a SNES cartridge, the 3.8 mm gamebit security screw is your best check: an original has that special screw, a reproduction often an ordinary Phillips screw. Plus a sharply printed label and a circuit board with a Nintendo engraving.
